Final Expense / Insurance Costs
A MYGA and a certificate of deposit can both be used for predictable growth, but they are not interchangeable.
Final expense life insurance is generally priced according to the applicant’s age, tobacco use, health answers, coverage amount, and the policy selected. Premiums also depend on the insurer. A price quoted for someone else may not apply to you.
Families sometimes start with the cost of a funeral, but the right amount may also account for travel, outstanding bills, and money already set aside. A smaller policy may be better than a larger premium that becomes difficult to maintain.
Some policies ask health questions and may offer immediate full coverage to eligible applicants. Guaranteed-issue products generally accept applicants without medical questions but often have a graded or limited death benefit for certain early claims. Always inspect the actual policy provisions.
Compare whether premiums stay level, whether the death benefit changes, whether there is a waiting period, who receives the benefit, and what happens if payments stop. Do not treat advertising examples as a personalized quote.
Your age, preferred benefit amount, tobacco status, basic health information, and a comfortable monthly budget are enough to begin a useful comparison. We can explain available options and their limitations before an application.
