Shreveport employer benefits review guide
A practical checklist for business owners before a payroll conversation.
A useful employer review starts with facts, not a brochure.
People: how many W-2 employees, roughly how they are paid, and whether anyone is seasonal or part-time.
Payroll: current benefits already deducted, who runs payroll, and whether a Section 125 plan is already in place.
Documents: a recent payroll summary without employee Social Security numbers, a list of current voluntary benefits, and any carrier bills you want compared.
Questions for any program: Does this replace major medical? Can take-home pay stay whole if employees elect as designed? Who handles administration? What happens in year two?
Warning signs: guaranteed savings without using your numbers, pressure to enroll the same week, or a request for medical files or Social Security numbers through a website form.
We do not need sensitive employee data to start. A conversation and a high-level headcount is enough to see whether a company analysis is worth doing.
